Brief Abstract: During the speech you will find competent answers to following questions and more: How can you figure out what to work on if you want to build a new company? What can you do to test your hypotheses? How do you make progress and demonstrate it to investors?


Hussein is a founding partner of Hoxton Ventures, an early stage venture capital firm.

He is also an advisor to the Chairman of Eros International Plc (NYSE:EROS) and Different Capital, a seed stage investment collective. He helps the UK government with technology policy, and occasionally appears on Bloomberg and CNN.

He was formerly with Accel Partners, where he focused on consumer internet, financial technology and software investments including OpenGamma, Playfish (acquired by EA) and Dapper (acquired by Yahoo). Hussein joined Accel from Microsoft Corporation, where he held several strategy and product management roles. He began his career in the Bay Area, and helped found or play a key role at Safe-View (acquired by L-3), Radiance Technologies (acquired by Comcast) and Studio Verso (acquired by KPMG).

Hussein holds an MBA from London Business School, and did his undergraduate studies in Symbolic Systems at Stanford University.
